Course structure

To attain the Master of Enterprise Resource Planning, students will be required to complete 192 credit points consisting of:

  • 48 credit points college core units
  • 96 credit points professional core units
  • 12 credit points BCO6672 The Information Systems Professional
  • 12 credit points BMO7006 Applied Business Project (Capstone)

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Critically reflect upon theoretical approaches and analyse their application to achieve effective use of Enterprise Systems to support operations and management practice;
  2.  Justify and interpret theoretical propositions and related bodies of knowledge to critically evaluate the resolution of business problems and make recommendations/recommend actions in contemporary Enterprise Systems
  3. Critically adapt cross-disciplinary knowledge with creativity in decision making supporting the selection, implementation and use of Enterprise Systems
  4. Exhibit accountability in autonomous and collaborative judgements and innovative strategic thinking in response to contemporary and future business challenges
  5. Evaluate and implement industry- specific investigations to resolve complex professional problems and inform management decision-making and how Enterprise Systems and associated Information Systems can support this decision making
  6. Articulate effectively to specialist and non- specialist audiences including multi-disciplinary teams, diverse cultural communities and business and other professional organisations
  7. Formulate and execute an evidence-based capstone experience linked to an Enterprise Resource Planning System to generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts at abstract and practical levels
  8. Exemplify initiative and inspirational leadership in a dynamic 21st century work environment, acting consistently, ethically and socially responsibly.

Block Model delivery

All postgraduate business programs follow the postgraduate 8-week Block Model delivery from a trimester-based delivery.

Entry requirements

English language requirements

You must provide evidence that you have completed an approved English-language test, and achieved the result as described below.

  • IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL Internet: Overall score 79 (section scores no less than: Listening 19, Speaking 19, Reading 18, Writing 22)
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score 58-64 (no section score less than 50)
  • University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Total score of 58
  • VU English - University Preparation UPU (Undergraduate): Achieved
  • English Language School in Sydney (ELSIS)- EAP 2 (advanced): A grade.

Recognition of prior English language studies

Academic requirements

Entry into the Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning) requires you to have completed:

  • an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline OR
  • an Australian Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) in a similar discipline PLUS
  • IELTS (or equivalent), with an overall score of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking).
