Activities
By the end of the week your kids will have a new spring in their step!
Your child will be placed with players of a similar age and skill level. They will develop sport-specific and other life skills across a range of new and traditional sports.
Your kids will:
- learn fundamental motor skills crucial to ball sports and activities
- practise and refine their skills through a variety of drills and games
- learn how to play team-sports such as:
- dodge-ball
- futsal
- handball
- netball
- soccer
- basketball
- improve their general fitness and confidence.

Pool activities (Footscray Park Campus only)
We'll break up the day and have some fun in the Footscray Park Aquatic & Fitness Centre pool. Your kids can play on the inflatable obstacle course and take part in water-based activities.
Trained lifeguards will be on duty at all times.
Proficiency test
All children must complete a proficiency test on their first day of the program if they would like to go in the water. Please note this is a safety requirement. The test is as follows:
- Seated safe entry into 1.2m (depth) lane
- Tread water for 30 seconds unassisted
- Swim 12.5m unassisted
- Tread water for 30 seconds unassisted in 2m (depth) lane
- Swim 12.5m unassisted and exit the water safely
- Jump feet first into deep water from the diving block
Please note: only children aged 6 and above who are deemed as competent in the proficiency test will be allowed on the inflatable.
What to bring
To get set for a week of activities, your child will need:
- runners
- shorts
- t-shirt
- hat
- sunscreen
- water bottle
- bathers
- towel
- thongs
- snacks
- healthy lunch.
