About Yanni Bouras
Yanni Bouras is a lecturer with the College of Sport, Health and Engineering. He has been a part of Victoria University since 2011 when he begun his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering. Yanni then completed his PhD with Victoria University in Structural Engineering. His doctoral research investigated the thermal stability of concrete and concrete-filled-steel tubular arches.
In addition to structural mechanics, Yanni holds research interests in sustainable construction and has initiated research projects on the development of building products containing recycled waste materials, and infrastructure sustainability rating tools.
Yanni has taught across both the Engineering and Built Environment disciplines in the College of Engineering and Science. He has experience teaching structural analysis and design, construction techniques and operations, land surveying and building science.
