About Kumudu Weththasinghe
Kumudu Weththasinghe is an researcher, academic and a quantity surveyor with expertise in the built environment, sustainability, life cycle assessment, computer modelling and modern methods of construction and digitalisation. Her research focuses on life cycle environmental assessment and performance and cost management in the built environment, from material level to building level. She focuses on delivering practical research outcomes that have the potential to inform decision-making in the construction industry.
Kumudu is currently engaged as a lecturer in Construction Management at Victoria University. In this position, she is developing/teaching new as well as existing courses that focus on effective construction project management and project delivery integrating environmental design, sustainability and cost management aspects. She inform her teaching by research and practical experience in Australia and Sri Lanka.
Kumudu's research has been published across several internationally recognized journals and conference proceedings. Her doctoral degree was awarded Chartered Institute of Building Research Award for excellence in building research.
