About Lidia Xynas
Professor Lidia Xynas (PhD, LLM, LLB (hon), GDLP, GCHE, BEc, FGIA) is the Dean of Law, and Head of Programs (Law, Criminology and Migration) in the Victoria Law School.
Professor Xynas has extensive academic management experience in the tertiary education sector, and is a well-established researcher and demonstrated excellent lecturer with extensive experience in curriculum design, and in implementing new courses across disciplines.
Professor Xynas is committed to ensuring students have excellent graduate outcomes and the skills to ensure lifelong learning. She collaborates effectively with vested stakeholders to achieve broad organisational objectives and successful outcomes in line with strategic values.
As a prolific researcher and scholar Professor Xynas has published both domestically and internationally in the areas of taxation, commercial and corporations law. Her interest in the law reform also extends to the criminal and sentencing areas of the law. She is the recipient of a number of external and internal research grants.
