Victoria University will present an inaugural Research Festival from October 26-30 to develop, recognise and celebrate the University's research talent.
The week-long Festival will include:
- public lectures by leading researchers
- awards for exceptional postgraduate students
- practical workshops on ethics, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation, publishing, legalities, funding, research collaborations and strategies to improve researcher profiles.
Research Festival events are aimed mainly at VU research staff and students, while some events are open to the wider community.
They will include:

Research Champions seminar featuring Principal Research Fellow of VU's Institute for Sustainability and Innovation, Professor Mikel Duke -
Thursday 29 October
Research symposium with keynote speaker Professor Aidan Byrne, CEO of the Australian Research Council (ARC) -
Thursday 29 October
Professor Pat Drake, VU's newly appointed science-technology-engineering-mathematics (STEM) education developer discussing mathematics teaching and learning as part of VU's Diamond Series: Education Conversations in the Community.
Events will take place at VU's Footscray Park and City Flinders campuses, as well as VU at MetroWest.
