Victoria University's award-winning print magazine Connections can now be downloaded as an iPad app, providing you a rich, interactive media experience that only an app can offer.
Video of Tassie devils fighting over road kill and the sweet strains of Mozart's Sonata in G Major - not what you would expect to experience while reading a university magazine - but these are just some of the sights and sounds offered in our new Connections app.
Published twice a year, Connections celebrates the achievements of the VU community. Highlights from the latest issue include a profile of student Garry Kuan, who trained as a violinist at the London College of Music before taking up a role as first violinist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and student Victor Victor, named Young Victorian of the Year in 2012.
Also in this issue:
- research on the brain-size differences of wild and captive Tasmanian devils
- a group of student nurses who have just returned from a study tour of Vietnam
- a four-page spread on some of the University's innovative education programs.
To download the app, search for 'Victoria University', 'VU' or 'Connections' in the app store. Unfortunately an android version is not yet available.
Look out for the Winter edition of Connections (due out in July).
