From the 1 -18 July 2011, the following rail lines will be temporarily closed:
- Sydenham between Albion and Footscray railway stations
- Ballarat
- Bendigo
During this time, preparatory works will take place for the Regional Rail Link project and Sunbury Electrification Project and Metro Trains Melbourne and V/Line will carry out essential maintenance.
Hopefully this will not impact on you as the works are mainly being carried out during the semester break. However if you are planning to travel to the University during this time, take into consideration that buses will replace trains along these lines, and significant disruption and extended travel times are expected.
