VU has released a free iPhone application (app), designed to assist students, staff and visitors to find their way around each VU campus. It can be downloaded from the App Store, for use with any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad (running iOS 3.0 software or higher).
Campus information includes a Google map and custom maps, allowing you to get directions to a campus, find facilities and services, and the security contact number for each campus. Locations and contact details of libraries, student service centres, bookshops and prayer rooms are also listed for each campus.
There are level-by-level floor plans for each Footscray Park building, highlighting the entries and exits, toilets and room numbers. Floor plans for other campuses will be added at a later date.
Key contact details are also provided, as well as a What's On feature for VU events. If you bought or updated your iPhone after June 2010 (iOS4.0), events listed on the What's On tab can be seamlessly added to your built in calendar.
