VU research students from the School of Psychology are currently investigating the use of household fire safety equipment.
Participants will be asked to complete three cognitive tests, a measure of hand strength, and use a small (1kg) fire extinguisher and a fire blanket to put out a stove top fire under controlled and supervised conditions. If you are aged 18-25 or 35-50 and interested in fire safety, you are invited to participate.
All participants will receive a free fire extinguisher or fire blanket.
