Seventy SEDA (Sports Education Development Australia) students recently attended the first part of their 'Pathways at VU' program. The SEDA trainees attended VU for a day learning more about the many opportunities provided as a VU student.

The students will be finishing their Diploma of Sports (Development) this year and many of them are looking for the 'next step' in their career development.  Presenters from all parts of the university provided information about opportunities for sport, event management, exercise science and teaching. Many students will be making the most of their under-20 age group and completing another Diploma in areas of interest such as fitness instructing.

Next month, each student will undertake a one-on-one interview with a VU Careers advisor. This stage will help them clarify their career aspirations and establish a personal action plan.
