Over several years now, the Faculty of Business and Law has recognised the achievements of our most outstanding students in an annual Student Awards ceremony. The 2009 Student Awards ceremony was held on Wed 10 June at our City Flinders campus with about 180 students, family members, sponsors and members of staff present.
Award sponsors are involved with the Faculty in many different ways outside their support of these Student Awards - they are alumni, employers, WIL host companies, professional bodies aligned with the Faculty, academic text publishers, etc. All of them are part of the broader Faculty family and it is only with their generous support that we are able to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our students this evening.
The Faculty also has a number of awards and scholarships managed by the VU Foundation, like the Rumpf Foundation awards in Management, the Jane Shou Memorial Scholarships in Information Systems and the Booth Medal in Law.
The generosity of donors and donor families is also very much appreciated.
