On Friday 29 May 2009, young Taekwondo champions from Korea put on a demonstration for more than 100 staff and students at our Footscray Park Campus. The students are currently here studying English with the aim to train in a unique program aimed at producing world-leading coaches and administrators in the sport.
The twenty-two students, aged eighteen to twenty-three, have recently arrived at VU to begin training for up to five years in a newly developed Sports Coaching/Taekwondo Diploma, followed by a Bachelor in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, or Human Movement. The demonstration was a great success.
