It is predicted that 300,000 new 'Green Collar' jobs will be created in the next few years. The School of Construction Industries in the Faculty of Technical and Trades Innovation has commenced delivery of a Home Sustainability Assessment course. This is a new course developed by Sustainability Victoria which focuses on developing skills for a career in the "green job" market.
As a result of delivering this course the School has made connection with representatives from Melton City Council and have commenced discussions to develop and deliver other green courses such as retrofitting, insulation installation and assessor courses that link into the Federal Government green loans scheme.
