Thousands expected for biggest career expo in west

Victoria University is again proud to be part of WRICA - the west's own careers and employment exhibition - which each year attracts thousands of secondary school students and close to 100 exhibitors.

The 2009 expo will be held on Thursday May 14 and Friday 15 May at the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing.

Now in its 12th year, the annual Wyndam/Hobsons Bay Region Incorporated Careers Association (WRICA) exhibition is the only employment and careers expo in Melbourne's west, and the third largest in Victoria.

Victoria University is among the largest of the expo's educational exhibitors, offering students options for tertiary study, apprenticeships or traineeships. Students can also obtain careers advice and pathway planning, and learn about opportunities for student exchanges.

Besides drawing thousands of students from Melbourne's west, the expo also encourage parents or members of the public seeking information about a possible career change or planning a return to study.
