Dr Lawrence Ngeh is a Senior Lecturer with the College of Sport, Health & Engineering. He commenced his career at Western Institute in 1989. Currently, he is teaching general (mainly first year) analytical and forensic Chemistry in the Specialisation degree program, which offers general, analytical, organic, medical and forensic Chemistry subjects.
In 1997 Lawrence established a research collaboration with Phillip Island Nature Park (PINP). In 2013 the work of this partnership between Victoria University and PINP was recognised wth The Banksia Foundation's Business and Not-for-Profits - In Collaboration Award for 'Magic Wand' Oiled Penguin Recovery Technology.
In 2010, a collaborative research venture was established with the School of Art and Design at Monash University and PINP to develop a portable 'magnetic harvesting' device to provide a 'Quick Wash' of contaminated wildlife in the field. The results are promising. Collaborative research has also been established with City West Water and the National Measurement Institute.
