The overall aim of this research group is to study the behaviour of surrounding built infrastructure, including:
- concrete, steel and composite structural performance
- pavement design
- geotechnical stability.

- Behaviour of concrete structures and high performance concrete materials
- Structural fire performance of concrete panel elements
- Numerical behaviour of pavements subjected to fire and climate change moisture
- Finite element analysis of concrete non flexural members
- Behaviour of pavement materials with and without recycled materials
- Numerical and experimental investigation of composite structures
- Stability of foundations on reactive soils and unsaturated soils
- Resilience of structures under extreme loading, uncertainty quantifications and treatment
