Pru Sanderson is a senior executive who has held leadership positions in the private sector, with government-owned entities and in the not-for-profit sector.
Pru is a Director of Sanmor and Associates, a consultancy specialising in the strategic planning of infrastructure and cultural projects. Prior to this role, Pru was the CEO of:
- VicUrban, the Victorian State Government’s urban development authority that pushed the boundaries in liveability, affordable housing and sustainable urban development
- Monash Property Management Pty Ltd, which planned and delivered campuses and major infrastructure for Monash University in Australia, South Africa and Malaysia; and
- the Design Institute of Australia, the national peak body for designers, working to ensure that creativity and innovation are embedded into the national economy.
She has also held senior roles in the briefing and strategic planning for the $400 million Melbourne Museum at Carlton and was the Development and Operations Manager during the construction of Melbourne’s $500 million Federation Square.
Pru has served as a Director of the Zoological Parks and Gardens Victoria and of Parks Victoria, on the Federal Government’s Built Environment Industry Innovation Council (BEIIC) and as Co-Deputy Chair of the Committee for Melbourne.
She holds an honours Degree in Architecture majoring in urban design and heritage and a graduate qualification in Architectural Conservation from ICCROM, the UNESCO centre in Rome Italy. In addition to her architectural qualifications, Pru is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of Leadership Victoria.
