Dr Ming Song is an Academic Teaching Scholar (ATS) in the First Year College. She joined VU as a sessional academic staff in 2011 and completed her PhD (VicMelb) in 2018.
Her thesis looks into the corporate governance and performance of banks. Ming also holds an MRes in Applied Economics (VicMelb) and BEc in Finance (CUFE, Beijing).
Ming has had an extensive teaching experience in economics and finance discipline.
Ming’s research interests include:
- corporate governance
- bank performance
- bank risk taking and management
- banking reform in China.
Ming is also a Candidate of Chartered Financial Analysts.
