Michelle is an Academic Teaching Scholar in the First Year College. She has always been passionate about teaching and loves the classroom where she is able to inspire learners of all ages to become independent thinkers, confident in their ability to succeed.
Michelle has been head of English and Library in schools and a VCE assessor for English. She has taught in Pathways courses and is currently teaching at university hoping to prepare the next generation of teachers who will in turn inspire their students.
Michelle’s other passion is literature, particularly Young Adult literature. She has written teachers’ notes for many YA texts, been the Victorian judge for the Children’s Book Council awards and been actively involved in literature festivals interviewing writers and organising events. She has presented at many conferences, run PD sessions and continues to upgrade her knowledge through further study.
